    WAIS®-IV/WMS®-IV Combined Workshops

    Idaho Psychological Association WAIS-IV & WMS-IV
    Workshop Description Audience: Non-School Neuropsychologists, Psychologists, Psychometrists
    Introduction to the WAIS-IV®: The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale: Fourth Edition® (WAIS-IV®) has evolved to account for: changing (and aging) populations, need for greater efficiency, new research on cognitive assessment, and increased examiner and client friendliness. This workshop will provide an overview and rationale for the revisions and details on major changes to the WAIS-IV. Other highlights will include review of new subtests, standardization details, relevant psychometric properties, and scoring and interpretation. Introduction to the WMS-IV®: The Wechsler Memory Scale-IV® has changed based on user feedback and need for efficiency, in addition to accounting for the most recent research and changing clinical landscape. It includes a number of new subtests, has dropped problematic subtests, and also added a brief cognitive screener. This workshop will provide an overview and rationale for the revisions and details on major changes to the WMS-IV®. Other highlights will include review of new subtests, standardization details, relevant psychometric properties, and scoring and interpretation.

    • Nonmember registration: $125
    • SVPA member registration: $100
    • Student registration: $50
    • Late registration (received less than two weeks in advance): $135

    Nonmembers will be offered the option of paying $125 and receiving SVPA membership for the remainder of 2009. This $125 includes $100 for registration and $25 for membership for the remainder of 2009.

    Lunch is not included in the fees. Participants will be on their own for lunch.
