Your expertise is needed!

Pearson is looking to partner with districts to field test items for the expanding Pearson Item Bank. Your participation will help to shape the product and ensure that it meets the needs of educators and students.

About the Pearson Item Bank

The Pearson secure item bank has been created following principled design and development processes by Pearson’s team of content specialists with decades of experience building state summative assessments. This comprehensive bank covers reading, writing, math, science, and social studies and is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of educators. 

Field test details 

The content for the field test will span grades K–HS in the subject areas of math and reading (Spanish items are available for grades 3–8 Math), grades 3–HS in science, grades 5 and 8–HS for social studies, and grades 3–HS for writing.  

  • All the tests will be fairly short (approximately 30 minutes) and conducted online. 

  • The tests are considered secure and would need to have a proctor. 

  • There will be a long testing window available beginning in spring 2024.  

To thank you for your time and participation, your district will be able to use PRoPL, Pearson's new interim assessment product, during the 2024–2025 school year at no cost.
