In 1908, Clifford Beers published his autobiography, a chronicle of his experiences while institutionalized as well as along his mental health journey. His words held a lot of weight and reached a lot of important people who helped him begin to influence change. Over the next century, mental health and its effects on every aspect of our lives has garnered growing attention, but never as much as we are seeing today.

Of the 1 in 5 people currently living with a mental health disorder, anxiety and depression are among the top 3 diagnosed each year3. As both the prevalence and de-stigmatization of anxiety and depression continue to grow, people looking for support are being met with ever-growing waiting lists. Practitioners are not able to meet the increasing demands, and many settings are concurrently facing staffing shortages. Through our close work with these busy providers, we have heard a familiar theme, “We have a greater client demand than hours in the day to help them” and we wanted to make you aware that some of our mental health assessments for both youth and adults can be administered by a variety of professionals you may already have on staff. These assessments are not only quick but also pretty versatile. They can be emailed to a client before the appointment to supplement your clinical interview, then used throughout the course of your treatment plan to monitor their progress and outcomes.
The following assessments can be administered by:
- Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC)
- National Certified Counselors (NCC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW)
- Marriage and Family Therapists
- Psychiatric Nurses or Mental Health Nurse Practitioners
