We are proud to announce the new Call for Research published by Pearson Clinical Assessment. Our goal is to ensure that Pearson assessments comply with the highest standards of quality and support research that investigates the validity or efficacy of our products. We are inviting United States-based faculty members, graduate students, and qualified researchers to submit their proposals no later than August 16, 2024.
Here’s what you need to know...
1. What is the call for research?
This annual Research Call is published by Pearson Clinical Assessment. Our mission is to ensure that our assessments comply with the highest standards of quality while improving outcomes for the customers we serve. We want to support research that investigates the validity or efficacy of Pearson Clinical Assessment products. Support may include funding, test data, and/or test materials.
2. What are you looking for and who can apply?
We are currently inviting United States-based faculty members, graduate students, and qualified researchers to submit proposals of relevance to the research areas outlined below.
3. What are the benefits?
There are many benefits to submitting your research. These benefits include:
- Impact: Your research will help improve the validity and/or efficacy of clinical assessments with potentially wide-reaching implications.
- Support: You can receive test data, test materials, and/or funding to support your research.
- Distinction: Pearson will spotlight the winning applicants and their research.
4. What do I need to apply?
The principal investigator will need to complete the application, and attach their curriculum vitae and a well-structured research proposal using our template (PDF). To learn more about the requirements, please visit the Call for Research page.

6. What to expect after submission?
The last date for receipt of all proposals is August 16, 2024, and the vetting and selection process will begin in September 2024.
Each proposal will be rated internally according to the following criteria:
- Match with the Research Call
- Quality of research design
- Feasibility of the research given the budget, timeline, and availability of data
- Impact or benefit to the development and use of Pearson products
Pearson will notify all applicants of research acceptance by the end of September, 2024.
