During these sessions we will conduct expert-led discussions on the importance of assessments, followed by thematic “grand rounds” featuring a mental health case study.
This presentation will discuss the roots of trauma, its impact on development, and how it can shape not only a person's filtering of the world, but also influence their coping methods. Assessment tools that can provide important insight into the effects of trauma exposure, maladaptive responses, and how these factors shape treatment interventions will also be discussed.
