Overview
One of the diagnostic areas that characterize Autism Spectrum Disorder is impaired communication. The Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, Fourth Edition can be used to evaluate the early communication skills of children age 16 days to 42 months. The presenters will describe the Bayley-4's flexible administration process which includes series items, related items, caregiver questions, and digital administration.
In this intermediate-level webinar the presenters will review the research on Bayley-4 scores for a group of young children diagnosed with ASD and will present guidance on how to use Bayley-4 items to identify the early signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Based on the content of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Compare the unique challenges of testing infants and toddlers with evaluation procedures for older children
- List three features of the Bayley-4 which are conducive for testing infants and toddlers
