Robert P. Archer, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Archer was the Frank Harrell Redwood Distinguished Professor and Director of Psychology, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, at the Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia and he is currently a member of the Bay Forensic Psychology group in Virginia. Dr. Archer is the author of numerous books, articles and book chapters related to psychological assessment, including Using the MMPI with Adolescents (1987) and Assessing Adolescent Psychopathology: MMPI-A/MMPI-A-RF (4th edition) (2017). He is co-editor of the second editions of Forensic Uses of Clinical Assessment Instruments (2013) and Personality Assessment (2014), and co-author of the MMPI-A Casebook (PAR, 1994).
Dr. Archer served on the advisory committee to the University of Minnesota Press for the development of the MMPI-A, is a co-author of the MMPI-A manual, and co-author of the MMPI-A-RF (Restructured Form). He is an Executive Board member and Diplomate of the American Board of Assessment Psychology, and Past President of the Society for Personality Assessment (SPA).
