Richard W. Handel, PhD

Richard W. Handel is professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from Kent State University. He was the recipient of the 2006 Samuel J. and Anne G. Beck Early Career Award from the Society for Personality Assessment and the 2015 Bud Orgel Award for Distinguished Achievement in Research from the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers.

Dr. Handel serves as a consulting editor for Journal of Personality Assessment, Psychological Assessment, and Assessment. He is coauthor of the MMPI-A-RF (Restructured Form).
