Developmental Reading Assessment | Third Edition

DRA™3
DRA3 provides educators and their classrooms a criterion-based, authentic benchmark/interim assessment evaluating student reading level and reading behaviors in Kindergarten through Grade 8. DRA3 determines independent or instructional levels on reading engagement, oral reading fluency, and reading comprehension. For struggling readers, DRA3 helps create instructional groupings and informs instructional practice through progress monitoring and targeted skill-based interventions. The DRA3 Word Analysis is a collection of brief structured literacy assessment tasks with scripted lessons for instruction. The DRA3 is the most current version of the DRA. Product Details

The DRA3: a rigorous yet rich and personal approach to reading assessment that complements formal assessment measures. The DRA3 is a tool you need to build great readers—one student at a time.

DRA3 Benefits: Assessment and More

Each child in every classroom has potential, and fostering that growth requires reading teachers to wear many hats: assessment expert, instructional designer, and leader-by-example of actions that reinforce that reading is both important and fun.

We get it. That’s why the DRA3 was created—to help teachers:

  • Observe the most critical behaviors of good readers, including foundational pillars from the National Reading Panel (2000).
  • Expand beyond skills analysis to see the whole reader, including attitudes and preferences.
  • Assess baseline reading skills that are 100% relevant to instruction for students at all levels.
  • Apply practical scoring rubrics quickly and with confidence.
  • Choose the most helpful reading activities for Tier 2 and 3 students.
  • Build successful classroom instruction for every student.
  • Document progress over time and share information with administrators and parents.
  • Foster enthusiasm and respect for reading.

The DRA3 creates a guided assessment map of what teachers see—and are required to do—every school day.

DRA3 Features: What’s in the Box? More than just books.

FAQs

Keystone/ATP Merge FAQs

Will my same Keystone login credentials work on the new ATP platform?

No, you will receive a welcome email from the new ATP platform with your first-time login credentials. Using the information and link provided, you will need to reset your password.

Will all my account information be transferred (schools, users, licenses, students, etc.)?

All the same functionalities will continue to be available, but some buttons/selections may be in a different area of the screen or perhaps be a different color.

The testing experience will be nearly identical, but the administrative tasks will be a little different as they will now match the ATP platform model. This will ensure consistency across all the products.

What if we were in the middle of a test?

Testing and data updates for DRA™3, EDL™2, and/or WriteToLearn™ will be unavailable July 15–31 to prevent interrupted testing or data loss as we transition to the new platform.

Please be sure to schedule your testing to conclude before July 15 or postpone starting any tests until August 1. We thank you for your cooperation with this scheduling.

I think something’s wrong with my account. Whom should I contact for help?

Please contact our Clinical Customer Support  team by web form or by calling 1-800-328-5999. Representatives are available from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday.

On ATP, will there be a change in the way I order?

There will be no change for NNAT3 and/or TELL customers – orders will continue to be placed directly on the ATP platform

For DRA3, EDL3 and WTL customers, you will now get to place your orders directly from your account on the ATP platform and enjoy instantaneous provisioning of your online licenses. We’ll provide training videos to walk you through this new process.
